The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon.
Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has called for an urgent transformation of the Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA), urging the institution to shift from relying on government funding to becoming a commercially viable and self-sustaining body.
During his maiden visit to the GGSA since taking office, the Minister expressed concern over the Authority's continued financial dependence despite its critical role in Ghana's natural resource development. "There is no reason why an organization as important as GGSA should be struggling for government funds.
