Ukraine has thanked Ghana for its steadfast support on the international stage, particularly for backing United Nations resolutions condemning Russia's invasion.
This appreciation was shared during a phone call between Andriy Yermak, Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, and Prosper Douglas Kweku Bani, Ghana's National Security Advisor, with Ihor Brusylo, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, also joining the conversation.
Yermak highlighted Ghana as a vital partner in West Africa and expressed hope that the recent opening of Ukraine's embassy in Ghana would deepen bilateral ties.
He reaffirmed Ukraine's dedication to achieving a lasting peace, while noting Russia's ongoing efforts to prolong the conflict, citing a recent missile strike in Kryvyi Rih that killed 20, including nine children.
