The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr.
Christian Tetteh Yohuno, is leading a high-powered team of operations, intelligence, and investigations officers to Bawku in the Upper East Region to assess the tense security situation in the area.
The visit follows violent clashes between some irate youth and police officers, which claimed the life of Fuseini Iddrisu.
Five others, including a police officer and an immigration officer, sustained gunshot wounds and are currently receiving treatment.
