Edem Eric Agbana, the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, has expressed concern over persistent chieftaincy disputes in some communities within the municipality, describing them as a major obstacle to the area's development agenda.

Speaking at the confirmation ceremony of Rev.

Martin Prince Amenaki as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ketu North, Agbana made a heartfelt appeal to traditional leaders to unite and put aside differences in the interest of progress and prosperity for their people.

According to Agbana, ongoing disputes over legitimate leadership in some communities have made it difficult for political authorities to implement development projects without being accused of taking sides. "Sometimes, we want to pursue development, invite investors, or initiate infrastructure projects in a community, but the presence of unresolved chieftaincy disputes makes it difficult.
