The former Minister of Defence, , has expressed surprise at the manner in which the Director-General of the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) is performing his duties, particularly regarding the treatment of former government appointees.
His concerns arose after about 20 operatives from the NIB, armed with AK-47s, attempted to arrest the Member of Parliament for Assin South, Reverend Ntim Fordjour, at his residence.
The arrest attempt was foiled when members of the Minority Caucus in Parliament, led by their leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, along with senior figures from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), rushed to his home in solidarity.
Rev Ntim Fordjour had claimed that two foreign flights, which suspiciously landed in Ghana in March 2025, were allegedly involved in cocaine trafficking and money laundering activities.
