The Executive Director of the Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), Prof.
Baffour Agyeman-Duah has called on the government to adopt a more flexible approach to the mandatory retirement age, especially in cases involving individuals with exceptional expertise and experience.
His comments come in response to a directive issued on April 2, 2025, by the Secretary to the President, Dr.
Callistus Mahama, which ordered the immediate suspension of contract extensions for retired public sector employees across the country.
