Ghana's official gold reserves have soared to 32.99 tonnes as of June 2025, reflecting the country's continued drive to strengthen its financial buffers through strategic gold accumulation.

The new data, released by the Bank of Ghana, shows a steady upward trend from 31.37 tonnes in April and 32.16 tonnes in May.

The June figure also marks a dramatic leap from the 8.78 tonnes recorded in May 2023-nearly a fourfold increase over the one-year period.

The consistent growth signals the central bank's commitment to bolstering Ghana's foreign reserves and enhancing financial stability through gold acquisition.
