The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Elikem Kotoko, has asserted that there is growing competition within the (NPP), with various members aiming to position themselves as the new voice of the party.
In an interview on GH One TV, monitored by GhanaWeb on Monday, April 7, 2025, he highlighted the party's internal rivalry, noting that some members are determined to shape the future direction of the NPP. "I see some kind of competition within the NPP itself, with everyone identifying a certain vacuum and wanting to occupy that space immediately, claiming to be the new kid on the block.
I recall that some weeks ago, one of the MPs went as far as highlighting that he's a PhD candidate, which is also a new title in town," he said.
Elikem Kotoko also noted the NPP's apparent efforts to emulate the actions of Foreign Minister , who gained prominence while the NDC was in opposition for uncovering the truth.
