MyNewsGh.com has obtained shocking details of how some soldiers numbering Seven (7) went on a rampage, arrested and tortured suspected mobile phone thieves at Asafo BB in Kumasi, leading to the death of two while the other is still battling for his life.
According to sources to this portal, the incident occurred on Thursday, March 27, 2025, when a female civilian (name withheld) had her phone stolen by three guys from her car at Adum in Kumasi.
A lead was given as to where she could find the phone at Asafo BB, about 300 meters from Adum, where it was stolen.
Before she arrived, the suspected thieves had sold the phone to another person for Ghc3,000, and the buyer was unwilling to part with the stolen phone until the full amount was paid.
