Former Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, , has declared her intention to contest for the position of National Women's Organiser of the (NPP) ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to her, she has previously served as a constituency organiser on the party's ticket and, therefore, possesses the experience and competence needed to excel in the national position.
Speaking to party faithful during her thank-you tour following her defeat in the 2024 parliamentary elections, Hawa Koomson explained that setbacks in one area of life should not mark the end, but rather serve as a redirection to other opportunities.
She referenced the Biblical story of Joseph to draw parallels with her own experience, saying that just as Joseph's misfortunes led to his elevation, losing her parliamentary seat has inspired her to pursue a new path in service to the party. "Let us come together and work for the NPP so the party can become stronger.
