President , has nominated Ellembelle NDC Constituency Secretary, Joseph Agyekum, as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellembelle in the Western Region.
Agyekum's nomination was announced on Friday, April 4, 2025, and is currently awaiting approval from the Assembly Members of the Ellembelle District.
He played a pivotal role as Constituency Secretary in securing President Mahama's victory in Ellembelle during the 2024 general elections.
In a statement expressing his gratitude to the President, Agyekum said, "I am profoundly grateful to Almighty God, His Excellency , and the good people of Ellembelle for the trust and confidence reposed in me through this nomination to serve as the District Chief Executive for Ellembelle." He pledged his full commitment to supporting President Mahama's vision and development agenda in the district. "As I embark on this new phase of my political journey, I am mindful of the great expectations placed on me by the people of Ellembelle and His Excellency .
