The National Communication Officer of the ruling NDC, , clashed with the Member of Parliament (MP)for Assin South, Rev , over the former's allegation of money laundering and the smuggling of cocaine into the country by two aeroplanes at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA), during a live TV programme on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Speaking on JoyNews' NewsFile on Saturday, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication officer, who is also Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), , accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP of lying to Ghanaians with his allegation.

He said that Rev Ntim Fordjour claimed he had "credible intelligence" of the smuggling of the illicit drugs into the country, but he has not been able to provide any evidence for his claim.

Rev Ntim Fordjour, a former Minister of Education under the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government, refuted 's assertion that he (Fordjour) said he had "credible intelligence", saying, "But the press release is right before you.
