The Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, , has announced that President will host a state dinner in honour of the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, who is expected to arrive in the country for a three-day state visit.
This historic visit will mark the first time a Czech Republic president has visited Ghana since the two countries established diplomatic ties in October 1959.
Also, it will be President Mahama's first time hosting a state visit since assuming office for his second term.
An official communication from the Minister of State in charge of Government Communications dated April 4, 2025, said, "President will host the President of the Czech Republic, His Excellency Petr Pavel, next week for a three-day State Visit to Ghana. "The visit from April 08 to 10, 2025, will be the first by a Czech President since diplomatic relations were established between Ghana and then Czechoslovakia in October 1959.
