Interior Minister Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak has issued a stern warning to police officers who aid foreigners involved in criminal activities by altering their identities to evade justice.
The Minister expressed deep concern over reports that some officers, including prosecutors, have colluded with foreign nationals arrested for illegal acts to manipulate their identities-effectively shielding them from deportation.
He cautioned that any officer found engaging in such misconduct would face strict sanctions, emphasizing the government's commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting national security.
During an engagement with police in the Ashanti Region, Muntaka Mubarak stressed that foreigners involved in illegal mining, fraudulent activities, and other crimes will be repatriated, as the Government is no longer interested in prosecuting such individuals.
