Three persons have sustained injuries, with one in critical condition, following a clash between two rival groups in Kasoa during the Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.

According to reports, the conflict involved youth groups from the Walantu and Odupongkpehe Zongo areas, both predominantly Muslim communities in central Kasoa.

The clash, fueled by an existing feud, occurred during a street event organized to climax  the Eid celebrations, as reported by Mohammed Ousman, a relative of one of the critically injured. "The fasting period prevented them from engaging in a fight, and the intervention of community leaders also seemed to have put the matter to rest," he told 3 News.

A female victim who was injured stated, "I was enjoying myself with my friends when the violence broke out suddenly.
