No casualties reported as UN Dash 8 Aircraft makes emergency belly landing after nose gear malfunction.
A United Nations Dash 8 (DH8D) aircraft operated by the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) made a safe emergency landing at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu after experiencing a nose wheel failure.
According to a press statement from the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), the aircraft took off from Mogadishu's Aden Abdulle International Airport at 11:16 local time, heading to Baidoa.
Shortly after departure, the crew detected a technical issue with the nose wheel and decided to return to Mogadishu.
