Yaw Dabie Appiah Mensah, a senior member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono Region, has urged supporters and members of the party not to be discouraged by its political defeat in the 2024 election.
Instead, he encouraged the party to look forward to an electoral victory in the 2028 general election, urging supporters not to relax. "We must rebrand the party and continue to propagate its ideologies while marketing the party's 2024 flagbearer, the former Vice President, Alhaji ," he stated.
Mensah, 75 years old and a former regional organizer of the NPP in the then Brong-Ahafo Region, however, emphasized that it would be politically suicidal if the party failed to maintain the former Vice President as the 2028 election flagbearer.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Odomase in the Sunyani West Municipality of the region, Mensah, popularly known as "Oga," said that despite the NPP's political defeat in the last election, Dr.
