A former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, has stated that the office of the Attorney General has not filed any criminal charges against him since his arrest at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
Making his first appearance at the Accra Human Rights Court for a bail application review hearing filed by his lawyers on Friday, March 28, 2025, Adu-Boahene stated that he has not been charged with anything. "I have not been charged with anything yet; none whatsoever," he told Accra-based JoyNews after the court proceedings.
When asked if he believes he will emerge from the case an innocent man, Adu-Boahene, wearing a confident look on his face, affirmed, "Definitely!
Yes." Meanwhile, the bail conditions previously set by the Attorney General and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), which amounted to GH¢120 million, have been reduced to GH¢80 million with two sureties, one of whom must be justified.
