Edward Ennin, a former Obuasi East Member of Parliament (MP), has called for calm in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to foster unity among members.
Speaking to recent outbursts by notable members of the NPP, while speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Yen Bia' on March 27, 2025, he called for cool heads to prevail in the party.
He condemned the decision by the party leadership to subject former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, to disciplinary measures over explosive interviews she granted on selected media platforms in the country.
He cautioned that if the leadership continued to summon disgruntled members who go on media platforms to air their grievances to the disciplinary committee, they risk losing up to half of its membership, while deepening cracks in the party.
