President has nominated key individuals for appointment to the Office of the District Chief Executives pending approval from the respective assemblies.
The nomination is in accordance with Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and 20(1) of the Local Governance Act 2016 (Act 936).
This was made known in a release dated Wednesday, March 26, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the President, Dr Callistus Mahama.
The first batch of nominees includes representatives from eight districts across various regions, including Volta, Oti, Bono East, Ahafo, Savannah, Bono, Western North, and North East.
