Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Akweley Ocloo, has announced the successful restoration of 126 streetlights across various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the region.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, March 25, she highlighted the progress made within her first 50 days in office. "Today, March 25, marks exactly my 50 days in office, and I am pleased to report that significant progress has been made and in all, about 126 streetlights have been worked on, including some highways, town roads, and community roads across the 29 MMDAs in the region," she stated.
This achievement follows an earlier pledge to ensure at least 70 percent of streetlights in the region are operational within 50 days of her appointment.
According to her, the initiative aligns with the government's broader commitment to improving visibility and enhancing security across the capital.
