Four institutions yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to train learners in a new competency-based training programme in recycling technology.
It would allow students access to the composting and recycling plant sites of the Jospong Group to gain workplace experience in the field.
The four institutions are Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), Ghana TVET Service (GTVETS), German Development Agency (GIZ) and Jospong Group of Companies.
Spanning a 10-year period, the MoU that is under the "Pact for Skill: Support to the Transformation of the TVET System in Ghana,"and the Takoradi Technical Institute, Kumasi Technical Institute and Dabokpa Technical Institute are the beneficiaries.
