The former Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has visited the Adum Central Market in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, to commiserate with the affected traders following the devastating fire incident that destroyed a significant amount of property.

Addressing the affected traders at the scene of the fire, Dr Bawumia expressed his heartfelt condolences and urged them to allow for a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire. "Let's wait for investigations into the fire incident to be concluded because if it doesn't conclude, we won't know what caused it.

The investigations will help us know what to do to avoid the reoccurrence of such a tragedy in the market," he said.

Additionally, Dr Bawumia made a heartfelt appeal to the government to complete phase 2 of the Kejetia Market, which is currently 80% complete and was initiated under the former administration. "I want to appeal to the government to complete the Kejetia Market phase 2 project.
