A 21-year-old football fan, Mohammed Huzeinu, has been sentenced to 100 days in prison for invading the pitch during Ghana's World Cup qualifier against Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 21, 2025.
His actions disrupted the match and could result in a financial penalty of at least $10,000 for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), as international football bodies enforce strict security regulations.
The GFA has strongly condemned such incidents, stressing the importance of discipline and adherence to match-day rules.
