Stakeholders in the health sector have called on the government to post health professionals to where their services are needed at the health facilities across the country.

According to them, posting was not a choice, but rather where the services of the health professionals were needed.

They made the statement here in Tamale on Monday at a workshop on tracking govern­ment commitments in the health sector The workshop was organised by STAR-Ghana Foundation, under the Inclusive Elections and Accountable Governance in Ghana Project (Phase III) of the Gender Rights and Empow­erment Project (G-REP), with funding from the Foreign, Com­monwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

The workshop brought together key stakeholders, including civil society organisa­tions, health sector practitioners, advocacy groups, and the media.
