The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bunkpurugu in the North East Region, Dr Abed Lamangin Bandim, has noted that the $3 billion investment in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) sector outlined in the 2025 budget, will empower Ghanaian youth and drive economic growth.
He said that training one million coders would create sustainable jobs and position Ghana as a leader in the digital economy.
Dr Bandim, speaking on the floor of Parliament on Thursday during a debate on the budget, said "Mr Speaker, we are not just preaching digitalisation; we are ensuring that every Ghanaian youth is actively involved in the process.
This investment will train young people in ICT from every constituency, making them valuable assets to our economy".
