The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr.
Frank Amoakohene, has directed the current management of the Kumasi City Market, Kejetia, to step aside, effective immediately.
This decision follows a series of meetings between the management, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, and the Regional Minister concerning sanitation, utility bills, and other general service issues at the market.
The Regional Co-ordinating Council (RCC) stated it has received numerous petitions from traders and other stakeholders regarding the market's management.
