National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has lambasted the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for attempting to trivialise the NDC's proposed 24-hour economy. He drew parallels between the 24-hour economy and the NPP's double-track system, introduced to address overcrowding and infrastructure constraints in Senior High Schools (SHSs) nationwide. Addressing the people of Pokrom in the Akuapem South Constituency as part of his five-day tour of the Eastern Region on Monday, Mr Nketia urged Ghanaians to embrace the 24-hour economy, which he assured would generate employment opportunities for the youth. "The NPP has been diminishing the significance of our proposed 24-hour economy. Ask them, who introduced the shift system in schools. Even young children are familiar with shift systems.
