A leading member of the ruling (NDC), Alhaji Said Sinare, has called on President to ensure protection for the embattled former lawmaker for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, against what he describes as political retribution from the (NPP).

Sinare's appeal follows recent revelations by Adwoa Safo, a former Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, about internal party pressures and alleged underhand dealings within the ruling NPP.

Speaking to journalists, Sinare emphasized the need to safeguard individuals who expose internal wrongdoing, arguing that whistleblowers like Adwoa Safo play a crucial role in strengthening democratic accountability. "We cannot sit back and watch as the reckless NPP victimizes one of its own simply for telling the truth.

If Adwoa Safo is being persecuted for exposing their internal rot, then it is a clear sign of the vindictive nature of the former government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
