Commissioner of Police (COP) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah has been transferred to the Interior Ministry to serve as the Minister's Technical Advisor.

The reassignment comes hours after the newly appointed Inspector-General of Police (IGP), COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, assigned her as the Director-General of Research and Planning at the Ghana Police Service.

According to a letter from the Presidency, the Commissioner is expected to liaise with the appropriate authorities to ensure a smooth transition into her new role. "His Excellency the President recognizes and deeply appreciates your unwavering dedication, professionalism, and invaluable contributions to the nation.

It is his firm belief that your expertise and commitment will continue to serve the country effectively in your new capacity," a portion of the statement signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, reads.
