Broadcast Journalist Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has been released by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) hours after his arrest on Wednesday night.
Reports suggest that the outspoken Journalist was arrested around Mile 7 close to Achimota while on his way home after writing an examination at GIMPA.
National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Henry Nana Boakye who had earlier announced his arrest on Facebook confirmed his release through the same medium.
He wrote"We have just left the premises of National Security, and it is very disappointing to say that the arrest of Okatakyie Afrifa by National Security operatives after his exams this evening was completely unnecessary and unwarranted.
