Professor Michael Kpessa-Whyte, the Acting Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), has raised concerns over the financial struggles of Ghana's State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in the energy sector.

Speaking on Channel One TV's The Point of View with Bernard Avle, Prof.

Kpessa-Whyte revealed that apart from Bui Power Authority and Ghana Gas, most energy SOEs are facing severe financial difficulties and operating at a loss.

He attributed the relative success of Bui Power Authority and Ghana Gas to their strict adherence to compliance and operational efficiency. "Apart from Bui Power Authority and Ghana Gas, the rest are really struggling, literally," he stated.
