Contract workers used for Ghana's December 2024 general elections are still awaiting payment from the of Ghana (EC).

Despite assurances of prompt payment after the elections, the workers have faced a three-month delay, causing significant financial difficulties.

The affected workers, whose remuneration ranges between GH¢800 and GH¢2000 depending on their job descriptions, have appealed to President John Mahama to intervene and ensure they receive their pay.

Speaking on Otec FM's morning show "Nyansapo", hosted by Isaac Osei Akoto, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, under anonymity, one of the affected workers expressed frustration over the delay and urged the EC to fulfill its obligation.
