The Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has confirmed that President John Dramani Mahama's official X (formerly Twitter) account has been compromised by unknown individuals.
The Minister disclosed this on GHOne TV and assured the public that efforts are currently underway to recover the account and restore full control to the President's communications team. "Some unscrupulous persons have compromised President Mahama's X (Twitter) account, but efforts are underway to recover it," the Minister stated.
Authorities are working closely with cybersecurity experts to investigate the breach and secure the account.
The government has also urged the public to disregard any unauthorized posts from the account until it is fully restored.
