An officer of the Ghana Armed Forces has reportedly been shot dead following a brutal attack by unidentified armed men in Bawku in the Upper East region.
News of the dastardly act has gone viral on social media, with many sharing news of the fatal shootings and killing of the man, believed to be a warrant officer.
He is said to have been headed somewhere on foot when he was targeted by the gunmen and shot dead.
Tensions in the troubled Bawku enclave have escalated in recent weeks with a series of fatal attacks.
