The mother of the late Defence Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, was visibly emotional as she was escorted from her residence in Koforidua in the Eastern region to Accra following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed her only child's life.
Footage from the scene showed a heart-wrenching moment as the grieving mother, overcome with emotion, was gently supported by family members and others present.
She struggled to hold back tears while being helped into a waiting state-arranged vehicle.
Though visibly distraught, those accompanying her could be seen comforting and urging her to stay strong as they ushered her to the waiting vehicle.
