The 21-year-old final-year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), who is the main suspect in the death of 21-year-old Joana Deladem Yabane, has been remanded for the second time by a court.
The suspect, Daniel Tuffour, was arrested in connection with the death of Joana, whose lifeless body was discovered on campus on February 27, 2025.
During Daniel's second court appearance at the Prempeh Assembly Hall District Court in Kumasi, the prosecutor handling the case informed the court that the case docket had been sent to the Attorney General's (AG) office for advice and that his office is awaiting a response from the AG's office.
As a result, the court adjourned the case and remanded the suspect for the second time, granting the prosecution's request for the suspect to remain in custody while investigations continue.
