The Asankragwa Division of the Western Central Regional Police Command intercepted a suspect, Daniel Yeboah, on Wednesday, July 31, 2025, at the Samreboi-Tanokrom snap checkpoint.
He was found in possession of two travel bags containing 66 compressed parcels suspected to be Indian hemp.
The items were being transported on a tricycle (commonly known as a "Pragia").
During initial questioning, Yeboah claimed the parcels were handed over to him by a woman in Wenchi, who allegedly paid him GH₵5,000 to deliver them to her at Mumuni Camp near Samreboi.
