Her Ladyship Angelina Mensah Homiah, Supervising High Court Judge and Judge in Charge of ADR has called on the public to consider Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as a more efficient and cost-effective means of settling legal disputes.
She made this call while delivering a speech on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Court of Appeal Complex, Kumasi, on behalf of the Chief Justice, Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo, at the launch of Commercial Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Week under the theme "Building the Pillars of Justice Delivery through Commercial Justice ADR,".
She emphasised that ADR helps ease the burden on the courts while promoting amicable resolutions between parties. "ADR, a topic that lies at the connection of justice and economic stability.
It is evident that mitigation has traditionally been the preferred approach within the legal profession.
