Queenmothers across the nation have been urged to serve as catalysts for development and drive the much-needed socioeconomic growth in their communities.
Dzifa Abla Gomashie, the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, encouraged them to go beyond their traditional roles as kingmakers and custodians of tradition and folklore.
She emphasised their potential as nation-builders who can promote culture, peace, human dignity, and development, with a particular focus on women, girls, and children.
This call was made during a meeting between Madam Gomashie and leaders of the Ghana National Association of Queenmothers, also known as Unity Queens, in Accra.
