The Ejura Divisional Council in the Ashanti Region, led by Ejurahene Barimah Osei Hwedie II, has donated GHC100,000 to assembly members and community watchdog teams in the area to help combat illicit drug dealings and improve security.
The watchdog team has been collaborating closely with security agencies, particularly the police, to ensure the safety of residents and their properties in Ejura and its surroundings.
This support comes at a crucial time as the watchdog teams have been facing financial difficulties.
The funds were officially handed over through the Ejura Divisional Police Commander, Superintendent David Ashong.
