The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that the country's capital is adequately illuminated with streetlights within her first 50 days in office.

According to her, a formal press briefing will be put together by the ministry soon to update the public on the progress and the specific areas where streetlights have been installed.

With the deadline approaching, concerns have been raised over the feasibility of the promise, as many streets in the capital remain dark at night, including the Jubilee House route.

Addressing the issue on Eyewitness News on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Minister Ocloo revealed that 50% of the work has been completed so far, with efforts underway to cover the remaining areas before the deadline. "I will say so far so good.
