Prince Arhin has stated that the government's decision to uncap the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) levy will significantly enhance Ghana's healthcare sector.
Speaking in an interview with after the budget presentation on March 11, 2025, Arhin explained that the move will ensure adequate funding for the NHIS, allowing healthcare facilities to improve service delivery and expand coverage. "The uncapping of the NHIS levy means more resources will be available to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, procure essential medical supplies, and settle outstanding claims owed to service providers," he noted.
