The Member of Parliament of Tamale South and Minister of Education, , has issued a strong caution to Members of Parliament from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), urging them to take accountability seriously and avoid underestimating the memory of the Ghanaian populace concerning their perceived mismanagement of the economy.
Speaking on the floor of Parliament on March 7, 2025, he underscored that Ghanaians are highly observant and will not easily overlook the economic hardships they endured under the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia-led administration. "Don't think that tomorrow, there will be an election and Ghanaians will forget how you mismanaged this economy with a sinkhole economy and a sinkhole debt," he said.
His remarks came in the wake of a debate sparked by President 's State of the Nation Address (SONA), delivered on February 27, 2025.
