The General Secretary of the (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has called for an end to the victimisation of journalists by politicians.
According to him, politicians must uphold the liberties and rights of journalists because journalism in Ghana should transcend partisan lines.
Justin Kodua made the call at a Thanksgiving service and Get-together meeting of the Ashanti Region Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) on Friday.
The event was attended by the media fraternity, personnel from security agencies, traditional leaders, and members from the various political divides.
