The Ho Municipal Police Command has expressed deep concern over the rising abuse of drugs among the youth in the municipality.
Speaking to a group of students after a health walk organized by the Municipal Education Directorate as part of Ghana's Independence Day celebrations, Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Jeremiah Alale, described the situation as alarming and a threat to society.
His comments come just weeks after a violent clash between students of Sokode Senior High Technical School and local youth, which resulted in the destruction of properties.
Reports suggest that some individuals involved in the incident were allegedly under the influence of drugs.
