The Gonjaland Youth Association has expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and Education Minister, Haruna Iddrisu following the official absorption of the Savannah College of Education into the public education system.
In a statement issued on March 7, 2025, the association hailed the move as a significant milestone for education in the Savannah Region.
It emphasized that the transition would enhance access to quality teacher training and strengthen educational development in the area. "We wish to express our deepest gratitude to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for his prompt action in responding to the needs of the people in the Savannah Region, as well as the staff and students of the college," the statement read.
The association also commended Haruna Iddrisu for his swift and decisive leadership in facilitating the absorption process, noting that his intervention was instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition.
