On the sidelines of the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, a team from the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations Ghana, led the Minister, Sam George, engaged with MTN's top executives, including Group CEO Ralph Mupita and Group SVP Eben Asante.

Their discussions focused on collaboration opportunities aimed at improving service quality and customer experience in Ghana.

A major highlight of the engagement was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry and MTN Ghana for the implementation of the One Million Coders Programme (OMCP), a flagship initiative under President John Mahama's government. "The OMCP, which is an ambitious plan to train one million Ghanaians in digital skills, is a collaborative effort between government and private sector players," Sam George shared in an Instagram post on March 7.

This initiative underscores the government's commitment to equipping Ghanaians with essential digital skills to foster innovation and competitiveness in the country's tech sector.
