The Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has debunked allegations that President John Dramani Mahama has appointed over 100 individuals as presidential staffers.

According to him, the actual number stands at 30, significantly lower than under previous administrations.

His clarification comes in response to claims made by Samuel Abu Jinapor, the Member of Parliament for Damongo, who accused the president of failing to uphold his commitment to a lean government.

Jinapor suggested that Mahama had exceeded the promised 60 ministers and had secretly appointed over 100 staffers at the presidency.
