A violent storm swept through the Demonayili community in the Nanumba North Municipality of the Northern Region on Wednesday evening, leaving widespread destruction in the community.
More than 50 houses were severely damaged, displacing nearly 200 residents and causing extensive losses, including household items and food stocks.
The storm tore off roofs, brought down structures, and triggered power outages, plunging the community into darkness.
Food items such as maize and cassava were destroyed, worsening the hardship faced by affected families.
